About Structural Integration

Fascia - also called connective tissue - surrounds the muscles, bones and organs. It gives muscles their shape and the body its structure. The pull of gravity, daily stress and physical injury causes fascia to shorten and become restricted. Misalignment and imbalance results, causing inefficient movement, discomfort, and loss of energy.

Structural Integration is a series of ten sessions to bring the body into alignment. The sessions are performed on a table where the practitioner applies pressure to the body, releasing fascial restrictions so the body can lengthen and return to its structurally optimal position.

Some possible results

As a result of the process, people often appear taller and slimmer. Some actually gain 1/4'' to over 1'' in height. Discomfort or pain are often alleviated. Most people experience greater flexibility, increased breathing capacity, increased energy, and greater self-confidence.
